Damon Ploumis

Anatevka

At the end, Damon Nestor Ploumis is cheered, who is vocally as well as acting tailored to the stately body of Tevye. He fills the role completely, between outbursts of rage that resemble a force of nature and lyrical passages in which a big heart speaks. It is also astonishing how nimbly and almost acrobatically this tree-strong fellow implements the spirited choreographies.

Il Barbiere di Siviglia

Doctor Bartolo (Damon Nestor Ploumis) virtually a stuntman (applauded acrobatic fall to the ground with roll!), is not portrayed – as unfortunately too often – as a fool. With a striking voice he unmistakably reveals his arrogance, his overestimation of himself and his vanity, but still remains ‘quasi a person of status’.

L’Elisir d’Amore

Among the soloists, Dulcamara must be mentioned in the first place. Relaxed in his acting, powerful and beautiful in his voice, and with artistic interludes that drew spontaneous applause from the audience – we will hopefully see Damon Nestor Ploumis on stage again one day.
